Disney Releases Behind The Scenes Video For Star Wars: The Last Jedi

Disney has released a behind the scenes video for Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

In it, we get to see some of the film being made, a glance of the amount of puppetry involved, and some sights of new characters.

It also contains bits of interviews from the movie’s stars.

Some of the interviews discuss how this movie is different from any Star Wars movie before now.

Carrie Fisher’s words hit hard, in the emotional sense, as her talk of family reminds us that this will be the last time we all see our beloved princess.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi is set for release on December 15.

Marvel Confirms End of MCU Story Arc

Marvel has confirmed that the end of the MCU story arc is coming.

It will officially come to a close with the release of the as of yet untitled Avengers movie in May of 2019.

With it ends the focus on Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Captain America (Chris Evans), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), and Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) as all of their contracts will come to an end.

For some of them, they have put a decade into the MCU and they simply want to move on to other things.

The second Spider-Man movie, coming in July of 2019, will mark the beginning of a new story arc.

Peter Parker (Tom Holland) will be one of the new focuses of this new set of movies.

Despicable Me 3 may have just been released, but it has already set a box office record.

The movie has claimed the record for widest release.

It was released at 4,529 locations, beating the previous record holder by 61.

The Twilight Saga: Eclipse had held the record at 4,469, since being released in 2010.

Filming For Deadpool 2 Has Begun

Filming for Deadpool 2 has officially begun.

The sequel to the massively successful Deadpool will see everyone’s favorite anti-hero (Ryan Reynolds) face off against an as of yet unknown villain, played by Jack Kesy.

Not a lot has been said regarding this movie’s plot, and not even naming the villain has been a good way of keeping things secret.

We do know that this time around, Wade Wilson will be joined by Cable (Josh Brolin) and Domino (Zazie Beets).

Morena Baccarin is back as Vanessa, Brianna Hildebrand will return as Negasonic Teenage Warhead, and Stefan Kapicic reprises his role as Colossus.

Deadpool 2 comes to theaters on June 1, 2018.

Batman and Harley Quinn to Get Single Night in Theaters

DC Comics has announced that their upcoming animated movie will theater time.

Batman and Harley Quinn had been meant to go directly to DVD and Blu-ray relase.

However, it will now have a one night only appearance in theaters.

In the movie, Batman is forced to team up with Harley Quinn in order to stop Poison Ivy from destroying humanity.

Batman and Harley Quinn is due in theaters on August 14, with home release on August 15.

Star Wars Brings in Ron Howard to Direct Han Solo

Star Wars has found their replacement for the directors who were fired from Han Solo, earlier this week.

Phil Lord and Christopher Miller were fired after they repeatedly clashed with the movie’s writer Lawrence Kasdan.

Kasdan was one of the writers for The Empire Strikes Back and Return of The Jedi and helped shape the character of Han Solo.

He returned to writing Star Wars specifically for this movie.

Now Kathleen Kennedy has found a much more dependable director.

On Thursday, Kennedy announced the hiring of Ron Howard as the new director for Han Solo.

Howard has worked with Lucasfilm before, among his other film credits.

Deu to the quick transition, there are no expectations for delays in production.

Filming is set to resume on July 10.

Han Solo: A Star Wars Story is still scheduled for May 25, 2018.

Lionsgate Changes Name of Saw VIII

Lionsgate has announced a title change for their upcoming movie Saw VIII.

They had been titling the movie Saw: Legacy.

However, they have now let it be known that the title will now be Jigsaw.

Being that the film series’ villain goes by the name Jigsaw, we can’t help but wonder if this will be an origin movie.

The studio has made hardly any comment on the movie’s plot, so we really have no official idea.

Saw VII was the only previous movie to have more than a number for a title, as it was also titled Saw 3D and Saw: The Final Chapter.

That final chapter note definitely made it seem like that was the end, so either they changed their mind, we are getting a prequel, or maybe the “Legacy” title was the real clue and this is a new villain who is taking up the Jigsaw mantle.

Jigsaw is set for release on October 27.
