Stranger Things 2 Trailer Shows Eleven’s Return

Netflix has released a trailer for Stranger Things Season 2.

It starts with the four boys playing at the arcade, however, something distracts Will (Noah Schnapp) and he has a sudden vision of Underneath, where something big is coming.

Later, he confesses to his mom Joyce (Winona Ryder) that he saw something. “What is it?”, she asks.” He can only reply with, “I don’t know. I felt it everywhere.”

The extremely fitting intro to Michael Jackson’s Thriller begins in the background.

We see that it is Halloween and the boys are dressed as the Ghostbusters.

Sheriff Hopper (David Harbour) is piecing something together on a map, suggesting that there has been another string of unusual occurrences.

Mike (Finn Wolfhard) tells someone that at times he still sees Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown).

A series of shots come, giving us glimpses of many of the characters, including the new character Bob Newby (Sean Astin).

During them, Joyce asks Will what it wants, and he replies “Not me. Everyone else.”

In the end, we see Eleven wake up and appear to find her way back to our world.

Stranger Things Season 2 is scheduled for release on October 27.

Netflix Releases New Trailer For The Defenders

On Friday night, Netflix released a new trailer for their upcoming Marvel show, The Defenders.

In this show, Matt Murdock/Daredevil (Charlie Cox), Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter), Luke Cage (Mike Colter), and Danny Rand/Iron Fist (Finn Jones) come together.

We start off with a voice over from new villain Alexandra (Sigourney Weaver).

This continues as we see the previously shown, though not in so much detail, scene of the four defenders fighting their way down a hallway fighting a bunch of people in grey suits.

As Alexandra stops talking, we see that she has been speaking to Elektra (Elodie Yung).

The scene then shifts to the Royal Dragon Chinese Restaurant, where the four find themselves debating what their next move should be if they can even decide to work together.

They discuss how they can’t win against Alexandra and her followers, however, they may have no choice but to fight, as Alexandra is apparently hunting their friends and families.

Stick (Scott Glenn) then appears and tells them that without the four of them, New York will fall to Alexandra.

Various fight scenes, with them working together follow.

The intense mood is broken a little bit when Daredevil tells Luke and Jessica that he’s “glad we found each other”, to which Luke replies, “I’m not hugging you”.

In the final scene, the three of them are in a subway car and Jessica downs a canned beer looks at the two of them and says “It’s been a long week”.

The Defenders is set for release on August 18.

MGM Announces Stargate Origins

MGM has announced a new Stargate series, Stargate: Origins.

In the teaser, that they released, we see scenes from the original movie, when the stargate is found in Giza, Egypt, in 1928.

What if you didn’t know the whole story? Go back to where it all began.

And then it tells us that Origins is coming in 2017, though filming has yet to start so we’ll see if that holds up.

That is all that MGM has officially put out, however, we have also learned that Origins will not be a full series.

It will only be ten episodes, each ten minutes in length, and aired exclusively through the new Stargate Command website.

The site will apparently be housing all previous Stargate content, including the original movie, all ten seasons of SG1, the three SG1 movies, all five Stargate: Atlantis seasons, and the one and a half seasons of Stargate: Universe.

It basically feels like MGM is going to use Origins to test the interest for new Stargate content and then decide whether or not to commit to a new series or movies.

The good news is that it definitely sounds like they’ve ruled against a remake of the movie or anything that will cancel out all of the series.

Marvel’s San Diego Comic Con Trailer For Inhumans

Marvel has released the second trailer for their upcoming ABC show, Inhumans.

In this trailer, we see more of the coup which Maximus (Iwan Rheon) commits in order to start actions against the humans down on Earth.

We get see Medusa (Serinda Swan)’s hair in action as she doesn’t take kindly to Maximus’ coup against her husband, Black Bolt (Anson Mount).

It also shows us a bit of Triton (Mike Moh), who apparently is recruiting a new inhuman, somewhere in a jungle.

That jungle is probably Hawaii, as that is where the Earth side part of the series is filmed and mostly to be set.

Inhumans first two episodes will be released on September 1, in IMAX theaters.

The rest of the show will then be released on ABC on an as of yet unspecified date this fall.

Netflix Releases Stan Lee Ad For Their Marvel Shows

Netflix has released a special ad for their Marvel TV shows.

In it, we see Stan Lee in the back of his car, being driven through Hell’s Kitchen.

As he does so, he catches glimpses of Matt Murdock aka Daredevil (Charlie Cox), Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter), Luke Cage (Mike Colter), and Danny Rand aka the Iron Fist (Finn Jones).

The trailer goes beyond what Stan sees, showing us all four of them fighting against thugs and villains, culminating in them coming together as The Defenders.

During this, Stan is telling us what makes the heroes so great, is that they are “still human”.

At the end of the trailer, we see Frank Castle aka The Punisher (Jon Bernthal) who says “I guess I got here just in time”.

The Defenders is set for release on August 18, before each of the four goes back to their own shows, while The Punisher does not yet have an official release date, but is expected in November.

Netflix’s Bright Looks Magically Intense

Netflix has released a trailer for their upcoming exclusive movie Bright.

The movie stars Will Smith as Scott Ward, a member of the Los Angeles Police Department.

However, this is a different world from ours.

In this world, fairies, elves, orcs, and others live alongside humans.

Ward is assigned a rookie cop Nick Jakoby (Joel Edgerton), who is the department’s first orc officer.

This alone makes things a bit more interesting than Ward would like, however, when on a call they arrest someone who is in possession of a magic wand.

Suddenly, the officer’s lives are even more in danger as everyone is out to kill for possession of the powerful wish granter, which can also be an extremely deadly weapon.

Bright is set for release on December 22.
